OBITUARY

NAME: Carl Douglas “Doug” Koger II, a longtime Atoka area resident.

BORN: He was born on August 3, 1948 to Carl Douglas and Artie Marie (DeLong) Koger, at Seminole, OK.

PASSED AWAY: Doug passed away on November 6, 2010, at Oklahoma City, OK.

AGE 62 YEARS 3 MONTHS AND 3 DAYS

EDUCATION: He Graduated from Seminole High School in 1966. Doug later attended East Central University in Ada before graduating from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

MARRIED: Doug married Helen (Campbell) on September 3, 1988 at the New Zion Methodist Church in Atoka.

OCCUPATION: Doug retired as a Lt. after 30 years of service in the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. After retiring Doug went to work for the Choctaw Nation. At the time of his death he was the Senior Director of Surveillance.

CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES, AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: He attended the New Zion United Methodist Church in Atoka. Doug enjoyed his grandkids, dogs, traveling, and Helen’s cooking.
