Obituary

Ray William Fox, age 68, a longtime Caney, Ok. resident, was born on Tuesday, February 1, 1944, to William “Buster” and Ida Belle (Potts) Fox, at Atoka County, Ok. Ray passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Atoka, Ok. He graduated from Post Oak. Ray was a Heavy Equipment Operator. He married Hestella (Houser) the love of his life on April 13, 1963 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Ray was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing dominoes, and spending time with his family.
Ray is survived by his children, Brandon Fox and wife Ashley of Caney, Ok., Brad Fox and special friend Kim Nutter of Caney, Ok., Reynella Powell and husband Dennis of Bentley, Ok.; grandchildren, Maddie Fox of Caney, Ok., Cherry Fox of Caney, Ok., Bo Fox of Caney, Ok., Tori Baker of Tushka, Ok., Chelsie Powell of Bentley, Ok., Tyler Powell and wife Hannah of Atoka, Ok., Sabrina Williams and husband Stacey of Pierre Part, La.; special friend, Jimmy Gray of Caney, Ok. Brian “Scooter” Cathey of Atoka, Ok.; great grandchildren, Lizzie Rae Powell of Bentley, Ok., Tate James Powell of Atoka, Ok., Lillie Belle Williams of Pierre Part, La.; step great grandchildren, Bryce Williams of Pierre Part, La., Kristan Williams of Atoka, Ok.; sister-in-law, Rita Workman and husband Harley of Armstrong, Ok., Opal Benson and husband Terry of Atoka, Ok., Shirley Fox of Caney, Ok.; along with numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Hestella (Houser) Fox; parents, Belle and Buster Fox; brother, Ronald Fox; mother and father-in-law, Benny and Louise Houser.
