PASSED AWAY: Aikman passed away on July 24, 2015 at Coalgate, OK. AGE: 85 years and 21 days. EDUCATION: He attended school at Pikes Peak & Lindsey OCCUPATION: Aikman was a Rancher MARRIED: He married Nora Jane (Neal) on Oct. 20, 1950 in Van Buren, AR. CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Aikman was baptized in the Church of Christ in March. He enjoyed riding horses, training them & riding trail rides, rodeos, & parades. He loved spending time with his children & grandchildren. Aik loved serving Tupelo & the surrounding Coal County community, Aik helped establish the Coal County Ambulance Service & served on the board for many years, He served on the Rural Water Board for many years. Aik resigned from the Coal Co. Excise Board in 2006 after serving for over 30 years. Aik enjoyed helping the Tupelo Volunteer Fire Dept. by cooking for benefits & other projects. He cooked for family reunions, fundraisers, community celebrations, & Governor David Walters. SURVIVED BY WIFE: Nora Jane Howell of the home in Centrahoma, OK.
