Obituary

Alma Lee Weeden, age 90, a longtime McAlester, OK resident, formerly a longtime Tushka, OK resident. She was born on Friday, June 9, 1933, to Marvin and Anna Bell (Blakley) White, at Tushka, OK. Alma passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023 at her son's house in Eufaula, OK. She attended Tushka High School. Alma worked in the cafeteria at Croaked Oak School in Oklahoma City for over 20 years. She married Billy Weeden on Friday, February 23rd, 1951 at Atoka, OK. They celebrated 56 years of marriage before his passing in 2007. Alma was a member of the Church of Christ. She loved fishing, quilting, taking care of her chickens, ducks and all her animals. She was known in the neighborhood as "The Duck Lady."
Alma is survived by her sons, Thomas Weeden and wife Gayle of Eufaula, OK, Michael E. Weeden of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren, Crystal Holley of Eufaula, OK, Timmy Weeden of Hillsboro, TX, Michael P. Weeden of McAlester, OK; sisters, Glenda Allen of Tushka, OK, Melba Weeden of Oklahoma City, OK, Wanda Brawdy of Tushka, OK; brother, Bill White of Tushka, OK; great grandchildren, John "JT" Morrel of Eufaula, OK, Timothy Weeden of Hillsboro, TX, Elijah Holley of Eufaula, OK, Asyah Holley of Eufaula, OK, Jaci Weeden of Maud, OK; great great grandchildren,  Hazel Weeden, Autumn Rubin, Braxton Beshear, Kaylee Beshear; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Alma was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Anna Bell (Blakley) White; husband, Billy Weeden; brothers, Dean White, Jerry White.
