Alter "Althear" Finley, age 69, a lifelong Atoka, OK resident. She was born on Thursday, June 21, 1952, to Jessie Willard and Elree (Burton) Harrison, at Atoka, OK. Althear passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Coalgate, OK. She graduated from Atoka High School in 1970 and attended Murray State College. Althear was a CNA. She married Simon Finley Jr. on Saturday, September 17th, 1977 at Atoka, OK. Althear was a member of the 4th Ward Church of Christ. She loved to shop, go to church, and spend time with her family, and her favorite color was red.
Althear is survived by her husband, Simon Finley of the home; son, Jackie Harrison of Coalgate, OK; daughter, Megan Harrison of Coalgate, OK; grandchildren, Jalesa Harrison, Jessie Harrison, Ashley Harrison, Jackie Jr., Dominique Harrison, Sienna, Kennedy, Sophie Harrison;
6 great grandchildren; siblings, Ruth Jackson of Los Angeles, CA, Willard Harrison and wife Pauline of Durant, OK, M. "Pinky" Tetteh of Calera, OK, Jerry Harrison and wife Karon of Warner Robins, GA, Chester Harrison of Stockton, CA, Beth Ann "Toots" Harrison of Atoka, OK, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
She was preceded by her parents, Jessie Willard and Elree (Burton) Harrison; brothers, John Davis, Herman Campbell; sister, Jessie White
