Obituary Alva Everett "Chub" McDaniel, age 88, a lifetime Atoka, OK resident, was born on Monday, September 10, 1923 to Grady C. and Ethel(French) McDaniel, at Atoka, OK. Chub passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Atoka, OK. He attended Black Jack and Bethany schools. Chub was a farmer and rancher, drove a gas truck, worked as a truck driver for Atoka Co., worked for Fitzgerald Lumber Company in Harmony, OK, was shop manager and wrecker driver for Harmon Jones Ford. Chub served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He married Mahala M. Daffin on January 9, 1945 at Atoka, OK. Chub was raised and saved as a Southern Baptist. He enjoyed fishing, taking care of his livestock, riding his mules, playing dominoes, and attending auction sales. Chub is survived by his wife, Mahala (Daffin) McDaniel of Atoka, OK.; children, Alvanell Morris and husband Johnny of Blackjack Community, Chock McDaniel and wife Veronica of Blackjack Community, Ruel McDaniel and wife Vicki of Wetumka, OK., Lola Irion and husband Bill of Pottsboro, TX., Phil McDaniel and wife Joyce of Blackjack Community.; siblings, Levinia Burchfield of Pflugerville, TX.; Joyce Sparks and husband Carl of Bristow, OK.; sister-in-law, Wanda McDaniel of Bristow, OK; June Langford of Kerrville, TX.; grandchildren, Alva Massey and wife Alycia of Ashboro, NC; Jennifer, Wagner and husband Alvis of Blackjack Community; Melissa Denton and husband Mike of Owasso, OK; Val Pogue of Stillwater, OK; Keith Capps of Lawton, OK., Kimberly Seay and husband Jason of Durant, OK; Rocky McDaniel and wife Erica of Durant, OK; Travis McDaniel and wife Jessica of Bentley, Sarah Beth McDaniel of Caney,OK.; grandson-in-law, Brent Cavender of McKinney, TX.; great grandchildren, Phillip and Andrew Massey; Colby and Cannon Cavender; Maci,Haley, and Logan Wagner, Mitchell and Daryn Wilfong; Caden and Kennedi Pogue; Roxie, Natalie, Lexi, Ava, Maverick, and Ryder McDanie; Brooke and Bradley Capps; Mason and Jackson Seay.
