Amber Dawn Mosqueda, age 41, a longtime Atoka, OK resident, was born on Sunday, August 27, 1978, to Manuel and Reta (Boone) Mosqueda, at Hawthorne, CA. Amber lost her battle to cancer on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at her home in Atoka, OK surrounded by her loved ones. She graduated from Atoka High School, attended VoTech and received her CNA and Computer Tech Certificates. Amber worked as a sales associate at Wal-Mart. She married David Sublette on November 21 at Atoka, OK. Amber was of the baptist faith. She attended Full Gospel Church and Harmony Baptist Church, loved to travel, eat sweets, play scratch off tickets, and go to the casino. She was a caregiver, loved taking care of people when they were down on their luck, and most of all, spending time with family, friends and her grandbaby.
Amber is survived by her daughter, Ashton Sublette and Dylan Clark of Atoka, OK; son, Blaine Sublette of Atoka, OK; grandson, Brantley Sublette of Atoka, OK; brother, Michael Mosqueda and wife Shara of Atoka, OK; nieces and nephews, Trevor Mosqueda, Paige Allen, Layne Allen of Atoka, OK; cousin, Melissa Boone of Atlanta, GA; uncles and aunts, Cliff Boone and wife Pam of Aubrey, TX, Jim Boone and wife Ruby Ann of Newnan, GA, Judy Hendricks and husband Robert of Tulsa, OK; mother, Reta Hadley of Atoka, OK; father, Manny Mosqueda and wife Stephanie of Cedar City, UT; father of her children, David Sublette of Atoka, OK; along with other relatives and many dear friends.
Amber was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Pete and Jenny Mosqueda; maternal grandparents, Clint and Genn Boone; step father, Terry Hadley; cousin, David Boone; along with numerous other relatives.
