Amy Janice Duckworth, age 52, a longtime Atoka County, OK resident. She was born on Tuesday, June 13, 1972, to Dennis and Joann Jane (Carroll) Duckworth, at Talihina, OK. Amy passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Durant, OK. She graduated from Del Norte High School in Albuquerque, NM and then graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University with a bachelor's degree in safety.  Amy retired from Durant Police Dept.as a dispatcher. Amy was of the Baptist faith. She was a Choctaw tribal member and also a Choctaw artist and loved doing bead work and making specialty bracelets for her police officers and friends.

Amy is survived by her mother, Joann Duckworth of Bentley, OK; son, Rafferty Brown; brother, Darrin Duckworth and wife Pamela of Bentley, OK; stepmother Verba Duckworth of Caney, OK; along with nieces, nephews, and family. She loved her aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Amy was preceded in death by her father, Dennis Duckworth; maternal grandparents, Charles & Hazel Carroll; paternal grandparents, Joe & Mary Duckworth; aunt, Paula Deaton; great grandma, Gladys Sam, great grandparents, Stella & Colonel Carroll.
