Angela Marshette (Hokett) Layton, age 56, a longtime Coleman, OK resident, was born on Thursday, March 4, 1965, to Donald Melton and Carolyn Marie (Whitmire) Hokett, at Atoka, OK. Angela passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Dallas, TX. She graduated from Atoka High School. Angela was a clerk for the Dolese Bros. She married John Layton on Friday, November 4th, 1983 at Atoka, OK. They celebrated 37 years of marriage. Angela enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, spending time with her family and doing DIY projects. She was very creative and always ready for a challenge.
Angela is survived by her husband, John Layton of the home in Coleman, OK; daughters, Krystle Don Culbreath and husband James of Caney, OK, Kacey Childers of Coleman, OK; son, Kyle Layton and wife Ariole of Coleman, OK; grandchildren, Halli Culbreath, Carson Culbreath, Treyden Layton; siblings, Ron Hokett and wife Lisa of Edmond, OK, Aundria Gallemore of Oklahoma City, OK, Donna Jo Hokett-Moore of Oklahoma City, OK; soul sister, Cheryl Burkett of Blue, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Angela was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Melton and Carolyn Marie Hokett; brother, Joseph Don Hokett; brother in law, Jackie Layton.
