Wapanucka

Arturo Carrion Tellez, age 58, a longtime Wapanucka, OK resident. He was born on Friday, September 29, 1967, to Ramon Carreon and Ma Guadalupe (Tellez) Juarez, in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato. Arturo passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026 at Durant, OK. He attended Emiliano School in Mexico. Arturo trained his own horses for some years, then went on to ride and break top race horses for Luis Villafranco for years and then for Jesus Ruben Ruiz at Ruiz Training Stables. He married Raguel Sanchez (Olvera) on July 13th, 1997 in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato. They celebrated over 28 years of marriage together. Arturo was of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed walking his dogs, mowing the yard, gardening, and working around the house or in the yard. Anything that involved just being outside. And anything involving horses, cooking meat, cooking in general. Arturo loved spending time with his kids, grandkids and his wife and enjoyed visiting with people. Arturo enjoyed taking naps on his porch in the afternoons, drinking some cold ones with family and friends anytime. He loved to talk to anyone and everyone to try and make friends.
