NAME: Arvard "Clabber" James McLellan, age 94, a Coalgate resident.
BORN: He was born on August 12, 1921, to James and Cora Elmer (McCain) McLellan, at Coalgate, OK.
PASSED AWAY: Clabber passed away on January 07, 2016 at Coalgate, OK.
AGE: 94 years, 4 months and 26 days.
EDUCATION: He attended Parker Elementary and Eastside School in Coalgate.
OCCUPATION: Clabber was owner of "McLellan's Garage" in Coalgate. He was also a Fire Chief in Coalgate.
MILITARY: A veteran, he proudly served his country in the United States Army
MARRIED: Clabber married Hazel Mary (Dwiggins) on April 15, 1950 at Coalgate, OK.
CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Clabber loved telling stories, mowing, kids, grandchildren, helping others. Clabber had the first wrecker service in Coalgate. He was the first EMT in Coalgate. He was a member of the VFW, the Choctaw Nation. Clabber proudly served on the Cottonwood School Board for 9 years. He was instrumental for getting the Fire Fighter's their pension and water out to Cottonwood. Clabber was Dr. Byrd's right hand man.
