Barbara Louise (McGinty) Cook, age 67, an Atoka County resident her entire life was born on Friday, March 7, 1952, to Thomas and Armenttia Bell (Henderson) McGinty, at Bentley, OK. Barbara passed away on Friday, November 22, 2019 at Sherman, TX. She attended school in Bentley and Atoka. Barbara was a Housewife and Homemaker. She married Calvin Ray Cook on Friday, August 12th, 1967 in Atoka, OK. They had 34 years of marriage, before his passing on June 2, 2002.  Barbara attended the General Assembly & Church of the First Born. She loved reading, watching Hallmark movies, gardening her flowers. Barbara especially loved spending time with her kids, grandkids and great grandkids.
Barbara is survived by her children, Sandra Eden and husband Charles of Atoka, OK, Deana Orr and husband Richard of Coalgate, OK, Jerri Elliott and husband Dustin of Tulsa, OK, Stephanie Cook of Atoka, OK, Faith Robinson and husband Cheyenne of Chickasha, OK, Calvin Brian Cook and wife Valerie of Durant, OK; grandchildren, Scott Fugate and wife Marisa of Atoka, OK, Sean Wahlenberg of Atoka, OK, Shane Orr of Coalgate, OK, Aaron Orr and wife Kelsi of Coalgate, OK, Daniel Orr of Coalgate, OK, Dylan Orr of Coalgate, OK, Marshall Robinson of Chickasha, OK, Raegen Robinson of Chickasha, OK, Calvin Tre' Charles Cook of Durant, OK, Natalie Lynn Cook of Durant, OK, Vaili Bradley of Durant, OK, Victoria Bradley of Durant, OK; great grandchildren, Paislee Orr of Coalgate, OK, Jenny Orr of  Coalgate, OK, Ava Fugate, of Atoka, OK, Mason Denton of Atoka, OK; siblings, Thomas McGinty of Ft. Gibson, OK, Raymond McGinty of Ft. Gibson, OK, James McGinty and wife Audie of Farris, OK, Thelma Vanderveer  and husband James of Calvin, OK, Marilyn Figg of Atoka, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Ray Cook; parents, Thomas and Armenttia Bell (Henderson) McGinty; brother-in-laws; Clay Cook, Roger Cook, Thomas Figg, brother, Earl McGinty; sister, Debbie McCool; nephews, Matthew Harrrison & Tommy Flynn ; special friend, Linda Henderson
