Barbara Lee (Lowry) Potts, age 86, a Stringtown, OK resident, was born on Saturday, April 16, 1938, to Jessie and Daisy Norene (Warren) Lowry, at Hugo, OK. Barbara passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Tulsa, OK. She attended Stringtown School before graduating from Limestone Gap School. Barbara was a homemaker. She married Billy Mac Potts on Saturday, December 24th, 1955 at Stringtown, OK. Barbara was a member of Stringtown First Baptist Church. She enjoyed camping, walking, studying the bible, greeting people and sharing the Word with them.
She is survived by her sons, Joel Potts and wife Sandy of Collinsville, OK, Tony Potts and wife Ronny of Stringtown, OK; cousin/sister, Gwen Walker and husband Don of Atoka, OK; sister in law/best friend, Judy Embry; grandchildren, Joel Potts and Stacie Davis of Owasso, OK, Shaunci Johnson and husband Casey of Stringtown, OK, Justin Potts and Megan Cox of Owasso, OK, Jodi Martin and husband Mike of Yukon, OK, Toni Magby and husband Bradley of Daisy, OK, Shea Patton and wife Jennifer of Stringtown, OK, Alex Barrett and husband Dillon of Stringtown, OK, Cooie Potts and wife Taylor of Stringtown, OK; great grandchildren, Bradi, Payton, Taylor, Marisa, Josie, Boone, Hayzin, Lily, Kodi, Cooper, Tuff, Charlee, Gunner, Ellie, Zayden, Bosie, Crockett, Hawken, Mariah, Miriam and husband Isaac; great great grandchildren, Cillian and Beckham Hart; son in law, Arnold Patton; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of church family and friends that will miss her dearly.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Daisy Norene (Warren) Lowry; husband, Billy Mac Potts; daughter, Terri Patton; great grandson, Memphis Martin; brother, Fred Crockett Lowry
