Barbara Jean (Kahle) McCurry, age 70, a longtime Wapanucka, OK resident, was born on Saturday, November 18, 1950, to William Jesse and Doris Fern (Richardson) Kahle, at Elgin, IL. Barbara passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Tupelo, OK. She graduated from Larkin High School in Elgin, IL and went on to attend Northern Illinois University where she received a BA in Accounting and later a Master's Degree in Finance. Barbara was a Senior Finance Analyst for Motorola. She married Terry Lynn McCurry on Saturday, February 8th, 1969 at Elgin, IL. They celebrated 52 years of marriage. Barbara attended St. Paul United Church of Christ in Elgin, IL. She enjoyed crocheting, baking, sewing, chasing the grandchildren and watching them play ball, and telling her husband how to handle and take care of the cattle.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Terry Lynn McCurry of the home in Wapanucka, OK; daughter, Shannon Owens and husband Jamie of Roff, OK; son, Brett McCurry and wife Shawna of Cleveland, OK; grandchildren, Lauryn Pope and husband Michael of Cove, TX, Madisyn McCurry of Baytown, TX, Morgynn McCurry of Cleveland, OK, McKalynn McCurry of Cleveland, OK, Masen McCurry of Cleveland, OK, Conner Owens of Roff, OK, Payton Owens of Roff, OK; great grandchildren, Tylar, Kyle, Milo, Sabrina; mother, Doris Kahle of Tupelo, OK; brother, Ken Kahle and wife Olga of Collinsville, MS; sister, Joyce Stege and husband Dave of New Lisbon, WI; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Barbara was preceded in death by her father, William Jesse Kahle.
