Barbara Louiese (Tinney) Scamp, age 81, a Blossom, TX resident. She was born on Sunday, February 21, 1943, to Guy Raymond and Juanita Mae (Allen) Tinney, at Morenci, AZ. Barbara passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at Paris, TX. She attended Narbonne High School in Torrance, CA where she graduated in 1961and later earned an Associate's Degree in nursing from Paris Jr. College in Paris, TX in 1983. Barbara was a proud registered nurse, housewife, homemaker, and waitress. She worked as a nurse for over 15 years in pediatrics and the ICU unit at McCuistion Regional Medical Center in Paris, TX. She married Edward Lee Scamp on Friday, June 30th, 1961, in California. They enjoyed almost 29 years of marriage before his passing in 1990. Barbara was a believer and a Christian. She loved crafting, painting, crocheting, collecting dolls, playing video games, baking and making cakes, and Elvis Presley. She loved to feed a crowd and was an excellent cook.
Barbara is survived by her children, Lisa Mae Simmons and husband Stanley of Paris, TX, Larry Ray Scamp and wife Lynn of Cleburne, TX, Shannon Wayne Scamp and wife Caroline of Paris, TX; grandchildren, Christy Selejov and husband Stan of Keller, TX, Tara Cullum and husband Jason of Blossom, TX, Michael Scamp and wife Taryn of Iowa, Misty Hall and husband Chance of Atoka, OK, Jessica Scamp and partner James Carney of Seminole, OK, Guy Scamp and fiancé Daniele Hobbs of Atoka, OK, Stephanie Scamp Miller and husband Tommy of Azle, TX, Kimberly Selman of Cleburne, TX, Delissa Johnson and husband Tim of Burleson, TX, Kelsie Scamp and fiancé Barney Nash of Burleson, TX, Dylan Scamp of Paris, TX; 19 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN whom she was very proud of and would brag that she had others beat with her number of grandkids; siblings, Coy Tinney and wife Pam of Stringtown, OK, Kenneth Tinney and wife Elsa of Buckeye, AZ, Bill Tinney and wife Cindy of Midwest City, OK; special friend & care taker, Kristi Mayes of Blossom, TX; very special niece, Heather Taylor and husband Shawn of Pottsboro, TX; along with many special nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many dear and loved friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Juanita Mae (Allen) Tinney; husband, Edward Lee Scamp; son, Gregory Allan Scamp; siblings, Betty Lorensen, Gary Allen Tinney.
