NAME: Barbara Ann (Luchs) Toohill, age 78, a Olney resident.
BORN: She was born on March 24, 1937, to William Howard and Dorothy Evelyn (Cutts) Luchs, at Scranton, PA.
PASSED AWAY: Barbara passed away on February 13, 2016 at her residence in Olney, OK
AGE: 78 years, 10 months and 20 days.
EDUCATION: She graduated from Haverford High School in Pennsylvania.
OCCUPATION: Barbara was a secretary/bookkeeper for a real estate and insurance company. She was Secretary/Treasurer for Franklin Township, Correspondent for the Delaware County Daily Times, Reporter for the Philadelphia Evening and Sunday Bulletin, Secretary to the Assistant Deputy Administrator of Delaware County District, Secretary to Justice for District Court Upper Darby. Barbara also worked for the Coal County Election Board.
MARRIED: Barbara married Francis "Frank" Bough Toohill on February 27, 1957, and were married thirty-eight years until Francis' death in 1995.
CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Barbara volunteered at her children's schools, PTA, Christ Lutheran Church, and with Coal County Sanctions. Barbara was a member of the Redheads International, and the New Garden Art Association, Pennsylvania. Barbara received the Upper Darby Junior Chamber of Commerce for Press Award in 1968, and was also recognized as "One of the Outstanding Young Women in America" in 1973.
