Beatrice Butler was born on November 6, 1966 to Neree and Roosevelt Butler Jr., in Atoka, OK. She met Ravern Lowery Jr. and together they shared twenty plus years, until his passing in 2024. She went into eternal peace on June 12th, in Oklahoma City, OK after complications derived from a severe car wreck in November 2025. Still mourning the loss of her two daughters and husband, she was not fully able to focus on her own recovery. She became increasingly tired and decided early on that she did not want to not stand on her own two feet, as she struggled with the loss of her independence.
Beatrice attended Atoka Public Schools and graduated in 1985. She played several sports throughout grade and high school.
Beatrice enjoyed working jobs that she could care for others. Amongst the many were a childcare teacher and a nursing aide. Beatrice loved bright and fun colors. You’d see her sporting colors such as yellow, pink, or gold, with a pair of stretchy pants. She also loved giving, and she was notorious for “unique” gifts, but it was always the thought she put into each one individually.
Beatrice grew up attending Church of Christ then later attended Freedom Worship. She loved singing Karaoke, shopping, going to yard sales, and flea markets.
Beatrice loved evenings at the lakes edge and prior to her car wreck had just got back into evening walks with the family to get more healthier. She prayed daily and if you spoke to her often you’d receive a three page prayer or conversation text often repeating the same things over and over. These will be missed dearly.
Beatrice was blessed with three children: Latoya who was born stillborn in 1980, Chyrale who passed away in 2015, and Champale. Beatrice loved her babies and they loved her.
Beatrice leaves to mourn her passing, her daughter, Champale Butler of Del City, OK; sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Lewis McGee of Atoka, OK; grandsons, Chy’derrian Washington of Atoka, OK and Te’Zean “B’ontrei” Bates of Del City, OK; granddaughters, Alayziah Washington of _____, Saray-al and Jasmond Butler of Del City; nieces/nephews, Ashaunte and husband Andre Greer Sr. of Mead, OK and Alayna and husband Brian Garza of Norman, OK, Johnny Colbert of Atoka, OK, Cherry and Tanya Colbert of Oklahoma City; great nieces and nephews, Andre Greer Jr. of Mead, OK, Jax Garza of Norman, OK, Zahri Garza of Norman, OK; cousins, Alesha Lily of Oklahoma City, Thelma Bowen, and a surplus of cousins from all around; friends, Kelly Sturgis of Lane, OK, Valerie Dollar of Oklahoma City, plus more;
