Benny Ladod Childress, age 58, a Caney, OK resident since April of 1993. He was born on Tuesday, December 14, 1954, to James and Hazel Lottie (Roper) Childress, at Mt. Pleasant, TX. Benny passed away on Monday, October 21, 2013 at Caney, OK. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School. Benny was a owner and operator truck driver. He was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and had a strong love for the Lord. Benny was a family man, who enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing. Benny is survived by his sons, Chris Childress of Sofia, Bulgaria, James Childress and wife Lesa of Centerpoint, OK., Will Childress and wife Donna of Bartlesville, OK., John Childress of Caney, OK.; grandchildren, Aimee, Audrey, James, and Riley Childress of Centerpoint, OK., Walker and Dawson Childress of Bartlesville, OK.; siblings, Jean Allen and husband Bob of Palestine, TX., Remonia Rosewell of Keller, TX., Gevona Plaster and husband John of Sunset, TX., Quinn Childress and wife Pat of Mesa, AZ., Lonetha Hanks and husband Sammy of Palestine, TX.; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
