Obituary Bessie (Hamm) Chavers, age 92, a longtime Tushka resident, was born on Sunday, April 1, 1920, to Millard and Della Virginia (Bigelowe) Hamm, at Hartshorne, OK. Bessie passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2012 in Atoka, OK. She attended Tushka and Caney Schools as well as Murray State College and East Central University. Bessie was a home health nurse after retiring from Department of Human Services. She married Thomas "Tom" H. Chavers on June 4, 1960 at El Reno, OK. Bessie's job was her hobby. She loved helping others. Bessie enjoyed bowling, spending time with her grandkids and watching their sporting events Bessie is survived by her daughter, Sheila Chavers-Glover and husband Bill Godwin of Tushka, OK.; grandchildren, Chandie Glover of Coalgate, OK., Bobby Glover and wife Ashley of Tushka, OK., Tommy Glover of Tushka, OK., Clay Glover and wife Ashley of Poteau, OK., Ash Mayfield and wife Lori of Ada, OK., Will Godwin and wife Lindsey of Sandy, UT., Carae Ellisor of Calera, OK., 17 great grandchildren with 1 more on the way; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, many dear friends, and co workers.
