Betty Faye (Blackwood) Cole, age 67, a Lone Grove, OK resident, formerly a longtime Atoka County resident, was born on Sunday, August 30, 1953, to Odie William and Theah Mary Leona (Bowlin) Blackwood, at Oklahoma City, OK.
Betty passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Ardmore, OK. She attended Harmony Elementary School and graduated from Atoka High School. Betty was a EMT for Atoka County for many years and was also an over the road truck driver. She married Lankford Bays who preceded her in death and later married Joe Cole and then Jimmy Cole who also preceded her in death. Betty was of the baptist faith. She enjoyed sewing, reading, playing with her fur babies and spending time talking with her grandchildren by phone.
Betty is survived by her brother, Bobby Blackwood and wife Ethel of Ardmore, OK; step daughter, Rachel Cole of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Dakota Pommerening of Chickasha, OK, Tyler Starr of Seminole, OK, Abigail Bays of Versailles, IN, Travis Bays of Versailles, IN, AJ Pommerening of Bullhead City, AZ; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Odie and Theah Blackwood; husband, Lankford Bays, Joe Cole, Jimmy Cole; sons, Robert Bays, Shannon Bays; siblings, Ozie Blackwood, Flossie Mae Cooksey.
