Betty Sue Eaves, age 79, an Atoka resident, was born on January 20, 1944, to Leroy and Edith Lorene (Yates) Eaves, at Lane, OK. Betty passed away on September 7, 2023 at Durant, OK. She attended Iron Stob Grade School and graduated from Atoka High School in 1960, she later went on to attend Sherman School of Beauty. Betty was a cosmetologist and an insurance adjuster for State Farm.
Betty won multiple awards in cosmetology. She was affiliated with the Full Gospel Church in Atoka. She liked to color, sew, fish, and cook, she loved to garden and can her vegetables.
Betty is survived by her children, Rodney Deon Tate of Tom Bean, TX, Margo Mobbs and husband Dale of Sherman, TX, Bruce Jewell and wife Karin of Rock Hill, SC; 9 grandchildren; brother, Mike Eaves and wife Pam of Lane, OK; sisters, Barbara Callicoat and husband Terry Don of Atoka, OK, Glenda Richardson and husband Tommy of Atoka, OK, Kathy Roberts of Atoka, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Lorene Eaves; father of children, Rodney and Margo, Jerry Tate; father of child, Bruce, Larry Jewell; brother in law, Eddie Roberts.
