Betty Gene Johnson, age 72, was reared in the Coal Creek area and was a Moyers, OK resident for the past 60 years. She was born on Thursday, March 28, 1946, to Jessie Woodrow and Mabell (Nowabbie) Scott, at Atoka, OK. Betty passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Antlers, OK. She was 72 years, 10 months and 20 days.
Betty graduated from Atoka High School. She was a home health provider and worked for the Choctaw Nation Nursing Home in Antlers. She married Jonas Johnson at Coal Creek in Atoka County, OK. They were married until his passing on August 3, 2004.
Betty was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Antlers and a member of the Choctaw Nation. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, quilting, taking care of her children , and spending time with friends and family.
Betty is survived by her children, Woodrow Johnson of Moyers, OK, Jonas J. Johnson of Moyers, OK, Stanley Johnson of Moyers, OK, Patrick Johnson of Moyers, OK; grandchildren, Stormy Kenyon of Lane, OK, Brittney Kenyon of Lane, OK, Tiffany Smith of McAlester, OK, Tommy Rudder of Atoka, OK; brother, Charles Scott of Atoka, OK; Along with nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Mabell (Nowabbie) Scott; husband, Jonas Johnson, daughter in law, Marilyn Johnson; brothers, Steve Scott, Leroy Scott; sisters, Norma Cole, Ruth Scott
