Betty J. (Ward) Wilson, age 89, a longtime Coal County resident. She was born on August 07, 1930, to Joseph "Jack" and Laura Mae (Snoddy) Ward, in Coal County, OK. Betty passed away on December 23, 2019 at her home in Coal County, OK. She attended Cairo School & graduated from Coalgate High School in 1947. Betty worked as a seamstress at Wrangler, a Florist & was a clerk for First National Bank & Shamrock Bank  in Coalgate retiring in 2000. She married Irlan F. Wilson on August 16, 1947 in Denison, TX, he preceded her in death on July 26, 2013. Betty was a long time member of the Nazarene Church of Coalgate for over 60 years. She loved quilting & her church. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, & Great Grandmother and her family was her primary focus and joy.
