OBITUARY
Beverly Addasa (Brannon) Thompson, age 77, of Canadian, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, surrounded by the love of family and leaving behind a lifetime of memories that will never fade.
Beverly was born December 6, 1948, in Caddo, Oklahoma, to Ira L. Brannon and Elsie Maxine (White) Ray. She graduated from Atoka High School and later attended Kiamichi Technology Center in McAlester, where she pursued her nursing career. Beverly spent more than 30 years caring for others as an LPN at Atoka County Medical Center and Epworth Villa in Oklahoma City.
But to those who truly knew her, Beverly was so much more than her career.
She was a caregiver by profession, but a caregiver by heart.
Beverly had a personality that could light up a room. She was a spunk of energy, full of life, sass, laughter, and a love that ran deep. She had a way of making people feel cared for, and if you were lucky enough to be one of her nieces or nephews, you knew you had a special place in her heart.
And then there were her grandbabies.
To them, she was Mimi, a name that carried a whole lot of love. She treasured her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and took pride in every one of them. Her love for her family was never quiet or small. She loved fiercely, worried deeply, laughed loudly, and showed up with her whole heart.
Beverly enjoyed the simple things that made her happy. She could spend hours watching Court TV, CNN, or the Home Shopping Network, and she genuinely enjoyed taking care of people. Whether it was through her nursing career, checking on family, lending a helping hand, or simply being there when someone needed her, Beverly had a heart for people.
She was the kind of woman whose presence became part of your life, so much so that you don't realize just how much space someone filled until they're gone.
Beverly leaves behind a family who will miss her more than words can express, but who will carry her with them in every story, every laugh, every family gathering, and every memory.
