Billy Otto "Snoony" Rector, age 94, an Atoka, OK resident. He was born on Thursday, August 21, 1930, to Mart and Myrtle Rector, at Lane, OK. Billy passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Colbert, OK. He attended Iron Stob School. Billy was a self employed mechanic and a logger. Billy proudly served his country in the United States Army and served in the Korean War. He married Lorena Gale (Butler) on Wednesday, August 11th, 1954 at Antlers, Oklahoma. They celebrated 61 years of marriage before her passing in 2015. Billy was a non-denominational Christian. He liked to fish, hunt, and playing cards (especially poker). Billy loved to spend time with his family and loved talking. He was known in the community as the "Mayor of Farris."
Billy is survived by his children, Jimmie Ham and wife Cindy of Farris, OK, Brenda Wilson and husband Bobby of Farris, OK; 20 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; brother, Carey Rector and wife Eva of Farris, OK; daughters-in-law,     Bonnie Ham of Ada, OK, Judy Rector of Farris, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and host of friends that will truly miss him.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Mart and Myrtle Rector; wife, Lorena Gale (Butler) Rector; children, Stanley Ham, John Rector; brothers, Pete, Jack, Dannie, Lee, Bobby; sister, Shirley Philly; grandson, Jeff Wolfe; great great granddaugter, Izabella Herman.
