Hillmon Bill Ward, age 90, a Coalgate resident passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at Coalgate, Oklahoma. Bill was born on October 25, 1928, to Jack and Laura Mae (Snoddy) Ward, at Cairo, OK. Bill attended Cairo school & graduated from Coalgate High School. Bill was a bulldozer operator for many years and then served in law enforcement as Coal County Under Sheriff for 7 years and Sheriff for 4 years. He also co-founded for Ward Brothers Rodeo Company. Bill proudly served in the United States Army. He married Billie Jean Lackey on February 2,1957 in Van Buren, AR, she preceded him death on Dec. 5, 1998. Bill enjoyed fishing, Oklahoma Horse Racing, & spending time with his family. He is survived by Daughters: Donna Heck & husband Tom of Phillips, OK., Candy Griffin & husband Calvin of Cairo, OK., Joyce Williams & husband Hank of Boggy Depot, OK, Freeda Ward of Tulsa, OK,Stacy Rainey & husband Chris of Byng, OK., Charla Gilleland & husband Rick of Rush Springs, OK., LaJeanna Fannin & husband Tommy of Atoka, OK. Sons: Joe Ward & wife Rachel of Coalgate, OK., Jerry Ward & wife Gaylynn of Coalgate, OK. 28 Grandchildren & 40 Great Grandchildren, Daughter-in-laws:  Teresa Wilson of Ada, OK., Misty Ward of Coalgate, OK. Sisters: Betty Wilson of Cairo, OK., Barbara Girod of Glenpool, OK., Maxine Pulliam & husband Kenneth of Bristow, OK., Melva Thomas of Coalgate, OK. Brothers: Doug Ward of Cairo, OK., Jim Ward & wife Carol of Pittsburg, OK., Vernon Ward of Fittstown, OK., Sister-in-laws: Murl Ward of Cairo, OK., Joyce Ward of Michigan, Betty Ward of Coalgate, OK. Special Friend: Milda Echelle of OKC, OK. Along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & many friends.

He was preceded in death by wife: Billie Jean (Lackey) Ward, Sons: Hillmon Bill Ward Jr., David Heath Ward, Jimmy A. Wilson, parents: Jack E. & Laura Mae (Snoddy) Ward, Brothers: J .C. Ward, Jack Ward, Don Ward, Burney Ward, Sister, Mary Lou Cravens

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 13th, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Brown's Funeral Chapel with burial in the Ward Family Cemetery, with Jack Wilson officiating. Pallbearers will be Grandsons, Son-in-Laws , Honorary Pallbearers

Family Night will be Wednesday 6 to 8 p.m.
