Obituary Billy Joe Clayton Sr. was born July 4, 1932 in Atoka, OK. to Ludy and Annie Clayton. Billie attended school in Atoka and at the age of 17 he entered the military, where he served his country in the Korean war. He was honorably discharged at the age of 21. Then he began his adult life, he married Elizabeth (Powell) on August 22, 1955 in Durant, OK. To this union 6 children was born. Billie was a lifelong member of the Fourth Ward Church of Christ. He served as an elder and deacon. Billie spent the first years of his adult life traveling through the United States working in different capacities of construction, building, and other government projects. Billie's greatest pastimes were bird watching, gardening, and helping others to understand the Bible. Billie is survived by his children, Tresea Harrison of Atoka, OK., Anna Hill of Atoka, OK., Billy Joe Clayton Jr. of Oklahoma City, OK., Deon Clayton and wife Elizabeth of Oklahoma City, OK., Arnold Clayton and wife Imelda of Cibola, TX., Anthony Clayton and wife Jamie of Vinita, OK.; siblings, Bobbie Clayton and wife Essie of Colorado Springs, CO., Ludy Clayton of Julseberg, CO., Alice Lacey of Aurora, CO.; loving companion, Doris Morton; and 15 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many dear and loved friends. Billie was preceded in death by his parents, Ludy and Annie Clayton; siblings, Ruth Hill, Robert Clayton, Leslie Clayton, Rosie Frazier, Theresa Armstrong, Jessie Clayton, Julius Clayton, Curtis Clayton, and Helen Crooms; and son-in-law, Cecil Hill.
