Billie Gene (Calhoun) Miller, age 90, a lifelong Atoka, OK resident, was born on Monday, February 6, 1933, to O.D. and Roma (Roberson) Calhoun, at Pittsburg, OK. Billie passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at her home in Atoka, OK.  She started school at Limestone Gap and graduated from Atoka High School. Billie worked for Southwestern Bell, later worked for Atoka State Bank now known as Ameristate Bank and retired from McLeod Correctional Facility where she worked as a secretary. She married Billy Jean Miller on Saturday, April 12th, 1952 at Howard County, AR. They celebrated 70 years of marriage before his passing on December 19, 2021. Billie was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, member of the Pioneer Club, Pink Iris Garden Club, and Ladies Auxiliary at the hospital, she really enjoyed her clubs. She loved baking sweets for her grandchildren, cooking, eating lunch with friends and taking food to everyone.
Billie is survived by her daughter, Ginger Wilson and husband Gilbert of Crystal, OK; grandchildren, Shanna Wilson of Atoka, OK, Matthew Wilson of Crystal, OK, Nathan Wilson of Crystal, OK; great granddaughter, Saylor Wilson of Lane, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Billie was preceded in death by her parents, O.D. and Roma (Roberson) Calhoun; husband, Billy Jean Miller; sister, Diana "Bo" Wood.
