Billie Faye Robinson, age 79, a Bowie, TX resident for the last several years, formerly a longtime Atoka County resident. She was born on Monday, July 10, 1944, to Lonnie "Bill" William and Cordie (Gaddis) Hurt, at Atoka, OK. Billie passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Bowie, TX. She attended Stringtown Public School. Billie was a seamstress for Wrangler many years and a waitress for many years. She married L.T. Ray and they had three children together. On March 5, 1984 she married Elmer "Sonny" Robinson, they shared 24 years of marriage before his passing. Billie was a member of Pleasant Mound Freewill Baptist Church in Buffalo Springs, TX. She loved to go to the movies, going out to eat and shopping and enjoyed playing board game Wahoo with family. Billie never met a stranger and made friends everywhere she went.
Billie is survived by her son, Lonnie Luther Ray of Tushka, OK; daughters, Patricia "Trish" Waller and husband Billy of Bellevue, TX, Tammy McIninch and husband Dewayne of Caddo, OK; sisters, Linda Snead of McAlester, OK, Katherine Hayes of Stringtown, OK; grandchildren, Chelsea Ray, Dalton Ray, Courtney Rhyne, Kyle Waller, Jordyn Perazzo, Roxy Perazzo, Amanda Potter; 12 great grandchildren; brother in law, Leonard Loudermilk; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Billie was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Cordie Hurt; children's father, L.T. Ray; husband, Elmer "Sonny" Robinson; siblings, Annabell Sharp, Iva Mae Gribble, Jr. Hurt, Gerald Hurt, Geraldine Loudermilk, William Hurt, Gladis Hurt, Her Twin, Wilma Allen.
