Bill Miller, age 93, an Atoka, OK resident all of his life, was born on Monday, October 22, 1928, to Gustav "Gus" and Allie B. (Gilbreath) Miller, at Hickory Hill, OK. Bill passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Atoka, OK. He was a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church. Bill proudly served his country in The Navy. He was Mayor of the City of Atoka for 18 years, also served many years as a City Councilman. Bill was a founding member of SODA and served on it's board for many years. He also was a member of McGee Creek Authority. Bill loved helping people, he never met a stranger. Most people know him as "Buck Eye Bill". He married Billie (Calhoun) on Saturday, April 12th, 1952. They celebrated 70 years of marriage.
Bill is survived by his wife, Billie Miller of the home in Atoka, OK; daughter, Ginger Wilson and husband Gilbert of Crystal, OK, Gayla Smith of Caney, OK; 3 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Gustav and Allie B. (Gilbreath) Miller; siblings, 3 Brothers, 5 Sisters.
