Blaine Anthony Young, age 72, an Allen, TX resident, also lived in Midlothian, TX before moving to Allen, formerly an Atoka resident, was born on Sunday, March 24, 1946, to Raymond Edgar and Margaret Jane (Smithart) Young, at Atoka, OK. Blaine passed away on Monday, July 30, 2018 at Allen, TX. He attended Bryan Adams High School.
Blaine was a sales manager at Goodyear for many years before retiring in 2009. He also owned and operated Young's Tire and Service Center in San Antonio, TX. Blaine retired from Shipman Tire in 2010. Blaine knew everything about cars. As a teen, he and his dad built a race-car in the garage out of the body of an Anglia they found in a wrecking yard. Blaine competed and won many racing events and car shows with his beautiful car named "Six Pack." Blaine also loved panning for gold when he would visit his kids in Colorado, as well as "treasure" hunting with metal detectors.
Blaine is survived by his sons, Kevin Young and Elena of Denver, CO, Matthew Young of Allen, TX; daughters, Kim Young of Denver, CO, Kari Young and Hildo Salvador of Denver, CO; brother, Vince Young and wife Cheryl of Mesquite, TX; granddaughter, Dahlia Salvador-Young of Denver, CO; niece, Lyndsey Brantley and husband Patrick of Houston, TX; along with other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Blaine is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Edgar and Margaret Jane Young; uncle, Wesley Smithart.
