Bobby Lee Rector, 68, a lifelong Atoka, Lane, OK area resident. He was born on Saturday, September 24, 1955 to Mart Houston and Vera Joyce (Hearrell) Rector at Antlers, OK. Bobby passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Atoka, OK. He attended Lane Grade School and graduated from Atoka High School with the class of 1973. Bobby worked at sawmills when he was younger, worked over 20 years as a guard for McLeod Correction Center. After retiring from DOC, he worked as a handy man doing construction, building fences, farm and ranch work. He married Laura Elaine Howard on June 5, 2009 at Mena, AR. They celebrated 15 years of marriage before his passing. Bobby was a Church of Christ member. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening, loved being with his grandchildren and his dog Rip.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Laura Elaine Rector of the home in Lane, OK; children, Keven Rector and wife Kayla of Harmony, OK, Casey Hodges and wife Melissa of Stringtown, OK, Debra Hodges of Lane, OK; grandchildren, Zachery Rector, Tyler Leflore, Lexy Leflore, Keden Rector, Mallie Gardner, Xayden Gardner, Legend Gardner, Legion Gardner, Patrick Rector, Levi Hodges, Noell Hodges; siblings, Peggy Thompson and husband Leck of Eufaula, OK, Marty Rector and wife Candi of Lane, OK, Nancy Hall and husband Jimmy of Jeffersonville, IN, Curtis Rector and wife Betty Ann of Atoka, OK, Donna Goodson of Lane, OK; daughter in law, Falicity Gardner of Stonewall, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Mart and Vera Rector; sons, Eric Rector, Jacob Gardner; siblings, Steve Rector, Kathy Tomlinson; brother in law, John Goodson; daughter in law, Suzie Rector.
