Bobbye June (Winters) Lowry, age 82, a lifelong Atoka, OK resident, was born on Tuesday, June 15, 1937, to Irving "Bert" and Vay (Kampplain) Winters, at Atoka, OK. Bobbye passed away on Monday, February 17, 2020 at Atoka, OK. She graduated from Atoka High School. Besides being a housewife and homemaker, Bobbye retired from Atoka Public School working at the high school and in the Superintendent's office for over 20 years. She had also worked for PSO in Atoka County and the Treasurer's office. She married Fred "Crockett" Lowry on December 6, 1956 at Atoka, OK. Bobbye was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Atoka, former member of First Baptist Church of Atoka, member of Eastern Star, loved to fish, paint, craft, yardwork, was a seamstress and worked hard to keep Fred in Line. She enjoyed going on trips with her friends.
Bobbye is survived by her children, Fred Lowry and wife Kellie of Atoka, OK, Debbie Smithart and husband John of Atoka, OK; grandchildren, Jennifer Lowry, David Lowry, Tera Navarro and husband Tony, Leslie Manion and husband Kerwin, Samantha Lowry, Ronnie Lowry; great grandchildren, Tader, Pepper, Rack, and Reckett Jackson, Fanci Navarro, Jordan Hill, Aniston and Maddyn Manion; sisters, Kay Cox of Atoka, OK, Betty Compton of California, LouAnn Lowe of Durant, OK; brother, Irving Winters of Bartlesville, OK; sister in law, Barbara Potts of Stringtown, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Bobbye is preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Vay (Kampplain) Winters; husband, Crockett Lowry; son, Ronnie Lowry; siblings, Sue Copeland, Ronnie Winters.
