OBITUARY
NAME: Bonnie Lucille (Green) Stricklen, age 86, was a hometown Atoka, OK resident who lived several years in Irving, Texas before returning to the area in 1971.
BORN: She was born on Wednesday, November 12, 1930, to Joseph Jefferson Edd and Stella Esther (Mewhinney) Green, at Caddo, OK.
PASSED AWAY: Bonnie passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Coalgate, OK.
AGE: 86 years, 8 months and 3 days.
EDUCATION: She attended school in Lane then went on to graduate from Atoka High School in 1945.
OCCUPATION: Bonnie worked at Diaper Jeans in Atoka and also was a housewife and homemaker for her family.
MARRIED: She married Willie Joe Stricklen on Friday, April 7th, 1950 at Tushka, OK. They had 67 wonderful years together.
CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Bonnie was longtime member of First Baptist Church where she was also part of the choir and taught Sunday School, she was very active in the condolence communities as well. Bonnie took joy in providing her family with a nurturing, loving home. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt with a beautiful soul who always looked her best. She was well known not only for her looks but also her cooking. Although of late she wasn't able to cook as much, the family and her church family always loved her desserts, favorite's being banana pudding, pies and anything else she cooked.

SON: Michael Joe Stricklen and wife Crystal of Atoka, OK
SISTERS: Cora Capps of Mustang, OK Frankie Jane Ellis of Durant, OK
GRANDCHILDREN:Daniel Stricklen of Atoka, OK
Stacy Stricklen of Atoka, OK
GREAT GRANDCHILDREN: Amy Stricklen, Haili Luman, Clara Meador, Ty Stricklen and Anna Jenkins
GREAT GREAT GRANDCHILDREN: Ella Rose Scott, Jasper Cottrell, Penelope Meador
along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many loved and dear close friends.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY
PARENTS: Joseph Jefferson Edd and Stella Esther (Mewhinney) Green
BROTHERS: Ed, Thurman, Melton and Bill Green.
SISTERS: Pauline Benefield, Evelyn Millican and Ora Howard.
SON: Mark Randall Stricklen
