Bonnie Delaine (Snow) Cohey Tate, age 93, a longtime Atoka, OK resident, was born on Monday, June 16, 1924, to William Taylor and Amanda Florence (Schoolcraft) Snow, at Snowball, AR. Bonnie passed away on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Denison, TX. She attended Slicker School in Snowball, AR. Bonnie was a housewife and homemaker. She also helped with their business. She married Paul Jocephas Cohey in 1941 who preceded her in death on January 13, 1945 in Therimont, Germany while fighting in World War II. Later Bonnie wed Ray Melton Tate on Feburary 17th, 1946 in Hanford, CA. The couple resided near San Jose, CA until 1973. Their children, Richard Melton, Rebecca Sue, Paula Rachelle were all born while living in CA. Ray owned his own business of underground construction most of their years in California. They transferred their business to Atoka in 1973. He preceded her in death in July 1983. Bonnie still resided at her home which they built here in 1974. Bonnie was a member of First Assembly of God since 1976. She was secretary and treasurer of the church for 24 years, then later another 5 years. She taught Sunday School over 40 years total in Foursquare Church in California in which she was a member, then later at First Assembly in Atoka. She served her Lord from 1952 until present.
Bonnie is survived by her children, Richard Melton Tate of Santa Cruz, CA, Rebecca Sue Harris and husband Darrell of Denison, TX, Paula Rachelle Wilkerson and husband Jerry of Aledo, TX; grandchildren, Zachary Simon Jones of Crosby, TX, Sarah Elise Elrod and husband Ryan of San Diego, CA, Kaitlin Cherokee Rose Liebich and husband Richard of Cedar Rapids, IA, Amanda Ray Wietstock and husband Chris of San Martin, CA, Aaron Tyler Wilkerson of Aledo, TX, Jesse Michael Wilkerson of Aledo, TX; great grandchildren, Madison Wietstock, Trucker Wietstock, Bellamy Liebich; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, William Taylor and Amanda Florence (Schoolcraft) Snow; husbands, Paul Cohey and Ray Tate; 18 siblings; premature infant daughter, Donna Rae Tate.
