OBITUARY

NAME: Buddy Don Prather, age 62, a longtime Stringtown, OK resident.

BORN: He was born on Wednesday, June 16, 1954, to Macon and Martha (Deatherrow) Harper, at Ft. Smith, AR.

PASSED AWAY: Buddy passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017 at Tulsa, OK.

AGE: 62 years, 8 months and 18 days.

EDUCATION: He graduated from Stonewall High School in 1972. Buddy worked as a wireline engineer until 1985 and then went on to attend Murray State College and then attended SOSU where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Wildlife Conservation and Safety.

OCCUPATION: Buddy worked for Dept of Wildlife for almost 25 years. He was the Wildlife Biologist for the Atoka and McGee Creek WMA and Stringtown PHA.

MARRIED: He married Kathy (Myers) on Saturday, June 21st, 1980 at Ada, OK. They had 36 wonderful years together.

CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Buddy was of the baptist faith. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, carving, playing the guitar, loved joking and pestering and most importantly spending time with his family.

DAUGHTERS: Amanda Riker and husband Brett of Yeager, OK

Katie Prather and fiancé Keith Bowman of Stringtown, OK

Carly Prather and Cody Hammons of Olney, OK

GRANDCHILDREN: Brylen Riker of Yeager, OK

Raylee Thompson of Olney, OK

MOTHER IN LAW: Mary Beth Myers of Ada, OK

BROTHER IN LAW: Steve Myers and wife Casey of Amarillo, TX

SISTER IN LAW: Karen Sanders of Anthem, AZ

NIECES: Chandra Sampson of Ada, OK

Shaké Neese of Surprise, AZ

NEPHEW: Skylar Sanders of Anthem, AZ

along with other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
