Obituary

Buster Joe McBride, age 83, a lifetime Caney, OK resident.
Buster passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at his home in Caney surrounded by family. He was born on Sunday, September 13, 1936, to Thomas and Sally Elizabeth (Willis) McBride, in Bryan County, OK. Buster grew up in the Post Oak Community attending school there thru 8th grade Elementary and graduating from Caney High School. He married Bessie Lenora (Smith) on Friday, November 25th, 1955 at Sherman, TX. They have been married for 64 wonderful years.
Buster was a self employed dry waller and welder. Buster was a member of Caney FreeWill Baptist Church. He was a trader by heart. He loved to build things, being in the outdoors and spending time with family.

Buster is survived by his wife, Lenora McBride of the home in Caney, OK. sons, Dennis McBride and wife Janet, Tom McBride and wife Tammie all of Caney, OK; grandchildren, Joey McBride and wife Melissa of Milburn, OK, Keta Robbins and husband Michael of Durant, OK, Kent McBride and wife Amanda of Caney, OK, Ethan McBride, Jake Magby, Brandie Magby, Calvin McBride all of Caney, OK; great grandchildren, Cade McBride, Eric McBride, Leah McBride, all of Milburn, OK, Tylan, Robbins, Elias Robbins, Axton Robbins, all of Durant, OK, Kenton McBride, Karson McBride, Eli Long all of Caney, OK; sisters, Dorothy Wood of Arkansas, Ida Crites of Caney, OK. Doris Ridgeway of Caney, OK, Hatti Carr and husband Clint of Caney, OK; sister-in-law, Glenda McBride of Caney ,OK. Along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many and loved friends.

Buster was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Sally Elizabeth (Willis) McBride; brothers, Elray McBride, T.A. McBride.
