Carl D. Jones, age 83, a lifelong Atoka area resident, was born on Sunday, September 14, 1930, to Earl Thomas and Susie Francis (Biggs) Jones, at Lone Star, Coal County, OK. Carl passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Coalgate, OK. He attended Lane and Atoka schools. Carl was an owner/operator truck driver and worked as a diesel mechanic. Carl proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during Korea. He married Roxanna (Hendricks) on December 6, 1957 in Ventura, CA. Carl was of the Baptist Faith. He was know by many as "Doc." Carl enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, watching "The Duke" John Wayne, and working on his trucks. Carl is survived by his wife, Roxanna Jones of the home in Atoka, OK.; children, David Jones and wife Shannon of Atoka, OK., Marjorie Parker and husband Matthew of Coalgate, OK., Dianna Wills and husband Billy Sr. of Enid, OK.; grandchildren, Kerri Manning and husband Richard of Beeville, TX., Ryan Jones of Atoka, OK., Joshua Jones of Atoka, OK., Carmen Garrett and husband John of Davis, OK., Leslie Parker of Durant, OK., Billy Don Wills Jr. and wife Amanda of Enid, OK., Kendra Wills of Stillwater, OK.; great grandchildren, Aden, Ethan, and Isaac Carl Manning, Colton & Kyra Jones, Thomas Ryder Garrett, Adelyn Joyce Wills; siblings, Leon Jones of Lane, OK., Juanita Tomlinson of Lane, OK., Barbara Drong of Norman, OK.; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
