Carlene Huckleby, age 81, a longtime Coleman, OK resident. She was born on Monday, October 4, 1943, to Eugene and Willie Christine (O'Neil) Byrd, at Eufaula, OK. Carlene passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025 at her home in Coleman, OK surrounded by her loved ones. She attended Union High School. Carlene was a welder at Sundowner Trailers. She married Gary Huckleby on Thursday, March 30th, 1961 at Miami, OK. They celebrated 64 years of marriage before her passing. Carlene attended Midway Family Worship Center. She enjoyed bowling, reading, painting, shopping, fishing and loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren. She loved to spoil them!
Carlene is survived by her husband, Gary Huckleby of the home in Coleman, OK; daughters, Christie Huckleby, Sherry Green, Billie McDaniel; grandchildren, Shawnna Shelton, Stephanie Harris and husband Jacob, Lindsey Claborn, Will McDaniel and wife Brittani; great grandchildren, Katlynn Shelton, Jamie Arthur and wife Sarah, Michael Shelton, Gary Arthur, Jennifer Arthur, Benji Flores, Alli Claborn, Leti Flores, Carli Claborn, Tucker McDaniel, Maggie McDaniel; great great grandchildren, Brynlee Franks, Braxtin Silvera; sisters in law, Carol Manning, Sue Huckleby; along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Carlene was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Byrd; mother, Willie Christine O'Neil; son, Gary Michael Huckleby; sister, Billie Givens and husband Max Givens; along with brothers and sisters in law.
