Obituary

Carolyn Sue (Moore) Harris was born in Ravia, Oklahoma on November 24, 1943 to Royal Alton Moore and Abbie Alice Moore.  After a long battle with CAA (Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy), Carolyn suffered a hemorrhagic stroke and passed away on February 21, 2025. Carolyn was a lover of all animals and has loved many throughout her life.  Her mini horses and donkeys were her pride and joy and once she was unable to take care of them she gave them to her precious new friend Vivian Emery  It gave her so much joy and peace to know that they were in such good hands and were going to be very well loved.  Her pup Nugget has been by her side for the past 12 years and has given her much joy and comfort.  Carolyn never met a stranger and could talk to anyone, which is what made her so great at her job of sales.  She loved to teach others her techniques and how to close the sale.  One of her passions was writing poetry and sharing it with those who were special to her. She loved her very close friends Jo Cooke, Jean Breeden, Barbara Moreland, Glenda Willis and Nita Nicholas very much and always looked forward to their lunches together.  She depended on them for comfort, support and prayer until the very end.
Carolyn is survived by her husband Jimmie Paul Harris, who took wonderful care of her and played tons of games with her almost daily which she loved.  She is also survived by her daughter Carrie Puryear and her husband Doug.  Her son Steve Banker and his wife Diana as well as two stepdaughters Tracie Verkler and Stephanie Harris.  She was blessed with wonderful grandchildren and numerous precious great-grandchildren which she loved dearly.  She was a fun, loving Aunt Sukie to many nieces and nephews as well.  Carolyn's only surviving sibling Barbara Powell and her husband Milford have been there for Carolyn and Jim and were always a phone call away when they needed anything at all.
We would like to thank everyone at Texoma Medical Center for the absolute best care anyone could ask for and a special thank you to Heart to Heart Hospice for gently guiding us through these tough times while tirelessly advocating for Carolyn's comfort and dignity.  Reba's Ranch House in Denison, TX was a lifesaver by giving us a great place to shower and sleep during our hospital stay.  They operate on donations so if anyone would like to donate in Carolyn's name you can do so at www.rebasranchhouse.org .  It would be much appreciated by Carolyn's family.
A celebration of Carolyn's life will be held in Atoka or Tushka  this spring. Plans will be announced in the coming weeks.
