Carolyn Sue (Thomas) Webster, age 78, a lifelong Atoka, OK resident, was born on Friday, November 6, 1942, to Ralph Lee and Katie Luvoy (Howard) Thomas, at Bentley, OK. Sue passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at her home in Bentley, OK. She attended Bentley Grade School and graduated from Tushka High School in 1961. Her teams won 4 straight years State Championships in girls basketball and also 3 years State Champions in girls volleyball. She later went on and attended cosmetology school. Sue worked a number of years in abstracting in Texas and Oklahoma. She married John E. Webster on Tuesday, November 24th, 1964 at Tushka, OK. They celebrated 41 years of marriage before his passing on April 21, 2005. Sue was a longtime member and Sunday School teacher at Bentley Baptist Church. She enjoyed collecting, sold Lady Love Cosmetics and Stanley Brothers, planting trees, traveling going to North Carolina, making trips to Dallas and loved spending time with her family.
Sue is survived by her sons, Gary Webster of Bentley, OK, David Webster of Bentley, OK; step sons, Glenn Webster and wife Connie of Denison, TX, Barry Webster of Sadler, TX; grandchildren, Peyton Webster and wife Shaynia of Leonard, Tx, Katie Webster of Leonard, TX, Kelsea Dawn Webster Cole and husband Colton of Chickasha, OK, Waylon Webster and wife Josie of Atoka, OK, John David Webster of Atoka, OK; sisters, Jean Mobbs of Durant, OK, Shirley McGuire and husband Darrel of Springdale, AR; along with number step grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Lee and Katie Luvoy (Howard) Thomas; husband, John E. Webster; step sons, Terry Webster, Dennis Webster; brother, Norman Thomas; sisters, Wanda "Snowball" Rice, Martha Peterson; brother in law, Fred Mobbs.
