Christa Lynn (Shields) Douglas, age 70, a Calera, OK resident, formerly from Atoka, OK, was born on Saturday, May 20, 1950, to Floyd and Callie (Riggs) Shields, at Atoka, OK. Christa passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Durant, OK. She graduated from Atoka High School and went on to attend SOSU. Christa was a ward clerk for the hospital, homemaker, and housewife. She married Robert Lee Douglas on Sunday, May 23rd, 1971 at Atoka, OK. They celebrated 47 years of marriage before his passing on April 27, 2019. Christa attended The Fourth Ward Church of Christ. She enjoyed attending church, watching basketball, OU Football, volleyball, and loved spending time with her family.

Christa is survived by her children, Sean Douglas of Atoka, OK, Shanna Douglas of Calera, OK; grandchildren, Darius Douglas and Josh Douglas of Durant, OK, Jade Douglas of Calera, OK, Darika Douglas of Calera, OK, Mikayla Douglas of Durant, OK; siblings, Richard Shields and wife Charlotte of Denver, CO, Terry Shields of Atoka, OK, Crandall Shields and wife Gloria of North Richland Hills, TX, Derry Shields and wife Sylvia of Keller, TX, Cheryl Brooks of Hurst, TX, Venoy Shields of Atoka, OK, Veryl Shields and wife Patty of Norman, OK, Sonya Matthews and husband Lorenza of Ft. Worth, TX, Twilla McGee of Atoka, OK; brothers in law, Donald Douglas and wife Gail of Denison, TX, Ronald Douglas of Houston, TX; nieces and nephews, Vickie Collins,, LeAnna Shields, Tatiana Shields, Adam Shields, Derry Shields Jr., Chaz Shields, Jeremy Shields, Monique McClure, Rose Jackson, Marcus Shields and wife Michele, Morgan Shields, Karen Shields, Kasey Shields, Taylor Shields, Kalan McGee, Courtney Harrison, Eric Shields, Douglas Brewer; along with cousins and other relatives and many dear and loved friends.

Christa was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Callie Shields; husband, Robert Lee Douglas; granddaughter, Dajae Thurman; siblings, Lynetta Harrison, Joyce Huddleston, Bruce Shields, Stanley Shields; in laws, Ida and Labron McJunkins; sister in law, Kathy Douglas; cousin, Sandra White; nephews, Connor McGee, Mario Shields; niece, Shantell Shields.
