Christine (Jones) Benjamin, age 67, a lifelong Farris area resident, was born on Monday, August 30, 1954, to Leon Edgar and Udell (Hammond) Jones, at Durant, OK. Christine passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Oklahoma City, OK. She attended Lane Grade School and Atoka High School. She later attended Atoka Kiamichi Vo-Tech where she received her nursing training and CNA license. Christine worked as a nurse for many years. She worked 18 years for OK Dept of Corrections as a Food Service Supervisor. She married Mickey Benjamin in June of 1970 at Lane Baptist Church. Christine attended Farris Baptist Church and was a member of Lane Baptist Church. She loved her grandbabies, and taking care of them, cooking, collecting dolls, antiques, junking, collecting old items, and watching old movies.
Christine is survived by her father, Leon Edgar Jones of Lane, OK; children, Kristi Adams and Robert Wilson of Hugo, OK, Sean Benjamin and wife Sonya of Farris, OK; grandchildren, Danielle Armstrong and husband Josh of Hugo, OK, Ethan Quincy Adams and wife Tristin of Hugo, OK, Taylor Parrott Benjamin of Edmond, OK, Stormy Benjamin of Farris, OK, Hanna Benjamin of Farris, OK, Bob Cat Benjamin of Farris, OK, Maximus Benjamin of Farris, OK, Chase Zachariah Benjamin of Farris, OK; great grandchildren, Jay Rock Armstrong, Ashton Miller, Case Adams, Ethan Ledger Adams; siblings, Ricky Jones and wife Tracy of Lane, OK, Terry Jones of Lane, OK, Debbie Reece and husband Terry of Caddo, OK, Nancy Jones of Tushka, OK; aunts, Roburtta Green of Lane, OK, Raylene Hammond of Lane, OK, Linda Hammond of McAlester, OK, Sandy Hammond of Atoka, OK; sister in law, Judy Bell of Farris, OK; brother in law, Jacky Wayne Cravins of Farris, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Christine was preceded in death by her mother, Udell (Hammond) Jones; grandson, Christopher Benjamin; grandmother, Lavada Hammond; sister, Shelia Cochran; uncles, Gary Dean Hammond, Robbie Tom Hammond, Scott Hammond, Bob Green; nephews, Tanner Jones, Blake Self; great nephew, Brook Jones.
