Christopher "Chris" Neal Crites Sr., age 59, a longtime Durant, OK resident, was born on Tuesday, October 17, 1961, to Leon Earl Crites and Mary Nelda Speers, at Oklahoma City, OK. Chris passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Denison, TX. He graduated from Caney High School and went on to attend SOSU. Chris was a guard at Mack Alford Correctional Facility in Stringtown, OK. Chris was a christian. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Chris is survived by his mother, Mary (Speers) Grace of McCloud, OK; father, Leon Crites of Caney, OK; daughter, Trinity Petersen and husband Robert of Durant, OK; grandchildren, Kylar Crites, Easton Jones, and Gentry Petersen of Durant, OK; sisters, JoAnn Coleman and husband Doug of McCloud, OK, Martha Porch and husband Greg of McCloud, OK, along with nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Chris was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Crites Jr.; brother, Randell Crites; grandparents, William Levi and Sadie Mae Speers, Kermit Crites, Willie Crites Dufur.
