Clarence "Goats" Stallings, age 93, a longtime Tishomingo resident, was born on February 28, 1928, to Solomon "Sol" Hesland and Martha Elizabeth "Lizzy" (Richardson) Stallings, at Nida, OK. Clarence passed away on October 19, 2021 at Oklahoma City, OK. He attended school at Nida, OK. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Clarence married Sybil Jeanette Dale on March 7, 1952 in Emet, OK. He and his wife lived many years in the Woodward area where they owned and operated numerous oilfield-related businesses. They moved back to Tishomingo in early 1977 where they operated a ranch. Sybil preceded him in death on January 30, 1998. Clarence was a pilot. He enjoyed playing poker, his racehorses, ranching and owned numerous airplanes. Clarence co-owned the horse, Quincy Jet, that won the first Paramutual Race in Oklahoma in 1984.
Clarence is survived by his son, Norman Bryan Stallings of Tishomingo, OK; grandchildren, Cody Stallings, Amber Stallings Dehart, Samuel Stallings; great grandchildren, Ayden Jones, Logan Henderson, Rylee Stallings, Courtney Stallings; sister in law, Marge Stallings of Jetmore, KS; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Sol and Lizzy Stallings; wife, Sybil Stallings; son, Gary Don Stallings; sister, Rogean Locke; brothers, Floyd, Everett, Cecil Ray "Hoot", Junior "Bunt", Charlie "Bud", Lewis, and Theodore "Teddy" Stallings.
