Clendon Joe Self, age 56, a lifelong Redden area resident, was born on Saturday, August 8, 1962, to William Nathan and Virginia Ann (Woody) Self, at Atoka, OK.
Clendon passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at Ft. Smith, AR. He attended and graduated from Stringtown Public School, attended Kiamichi Vo-Tech at McAlester where he studied Drafting and Design and CADD. He received an award for excellence in the field and received credits from OSU. Clendon was named as a honorary FFA chapter member in the Stringtown Chapter. Clendon was a Truck Driver for Nashville Trucking and numerous others.
He was a member of McGee Valley Baptist Church, sang in the choir and loved his church family. Clendon enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved his nephews and nieces.
Clendon is survived by his mother, Virginia Ann (Woody) Self of Stringtown, OK; sister, Carol Ann Doose of Atoka, OK; brother, Claude Self and wife Denise of Stringtown, OK; nieces and nephews, Amy Frazin and husband Jason of Richardson, TX, Wesley Self and wife Sara of Pittsburg, OK, Cheryl Doose of Lake Tahoe, CA, Venesa Webb and husband Brian of Tushka, OK, Brittany Cole and husband Adam of Coalgate, OK; great nieces and nephews, Skylar Self, Lucus Self, Keria Self, Rowdy Self, Harper Frazin, Jack Frazin, Ariana Frazin, Trevor Mosqueda, Elizabith Doose, Karma Doose, Kylee Webb, Elijah Webb, Alexa Jourique, Gunner Webb, Parker Cole; longtime best friend, Brock Parton of Glenwood, AR; along with other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Clendon is preceded in death by his father, William Nathan Self; sister, Connie Ann Self.
