Cletis Ray Shelton, age 86, a longtime Crowder, OK resident, was born on Sunday, November 20, 1935, to Walter and Birtie Marie (Harris) Shelton, at Coleman, OK. Cletis passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2022 at McAlester, OK. He attended the Ely school near Coleman. Cletis was a diesel mechanic for his entire life. Cletis proudly served his country in The Military. He married Lois June (Hogan) on Saturday, November 8th, 2003 at Sherman, Texas. They spent 19 wonderful years together. Cletis was a Baptist and served as a deacon at the Bentley Baptist Church. He loved the Lord with all his heart. Cletis loved hunting, fishing, working on and restoring boats. Cletis was always cutting up and making people laugh. He always knew how to make anyone's day better. Cletis is survived by his wife, Lois June Shelton of the home in McAlester, OK; son, Malcom Shelton and wife Patricia of Bentley, OK; daughter, Robin Morgan and husband Joe of Harrah, OK; step-sons, Dale Mobbs, David Mobbs; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and great great great grandchildren;
along with a host of family and friends. Cletis was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Birtie Marie (Harris) Shelton; wife, Doris Fay Bench; daughter, Bunnie Murray; twin sister, Jaunita Taylor; brothers, Willard Shelton, Junior Shelton, Bobby Shelton, Jimmy Shelton
