Clifford Lennox, age 67, a Lawton, OK resident, formerly a longtime Atoka resident, was born on Tuesday, October 16, 1956, to Ernest Lennox and Clara Steen (Benson) Jones at Hugo in Choctaw County, OK. Clifford passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Lawton, OK. He graduated from Atoka High School and went on to Eastern University where he received an Associate's Degree and later University of Central Oklahoma. He ran track in his high school, where he broke a couple of state records, and college years, going all over the state.Clifford in his younger years worked at Montgomery Ward and Dayton Tire in Sherman, TX. After returning home he was a city employee of Atoka for many years until his retirement. Clifford proudly served his country in The Army National Guard for over 20 years. Clifford enjoyed hunting, fishing, dominoes, taking trips, seeing his family and loved being with his children, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Marilyn Davis of Atoka, OK; his children, Shannon Davis of Atoka, OK, Lori Davis of Oklahoma City, OK, Ashley "Michelle" Lennox of Lawton, OK; special niece, Crystal Davis-Ray of Wichita Falls, TX; sons in law, Samuel F. Myles of Ardmore, OK, Daniel Pierre of Opelousas, LA; daughters in love, Linda Neal, Trisha Clinkscales; son in love, Charles Hines; siblings, Brenda Lennox, Sandra Lennox, Ruthie Lennox, Rita Lennox, Thelma Randles, Earnest Lennox Jr., Franklin Johnson, Jujuan Alvin Johnson, Leon Johnson; grandchildren, Shanay Davis of Sherman, TX, Shalancia Brown of Atoka, OK, Shree Brown of Dallas, TX, Shanara Lane of Lawton, OK, Briona Neal of Atoka, Ok, QwenZale Myles of Lawton, OK, Clifton Harris of Atoka, Ok, Shamiah Davis of Atoka, OK, QwenChae Pierre of Lawton, OK, Mercedies Pierre of Lawton, OK, TyQwen Martin of Lawton, OK, Journiee Hines of Lawton, OK; great grandchildren, Dazyln', Karmela, Da'Veon, Zakilynn, Zariah, Zyla, JaLeah, and Naomi; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Clifford was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Lennox and Clara Steen (Benson) Jones, Alex F. Johnson; grandparents, Pauline and David Walters, Willis Benson; mother in law, Cecil Harrison-Davis; siblings, Vincent Johnson, Jackie Lennox, Linda Kay; granddaughter, Deondreah Davis
