Connie LaNell (Woodard) Edwards, age 72, a Atoka, OK resident, was born on Monday, July 5, 1948, to Claud and Erma Jean (Bell) Woodard, at Atoka, OK. Connie passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 in Fort Worth, TX. She graduated from Atoka High School and attended Texas Women University. Connie was a successful entrepreneur, professional educator and after retirement a caregiver. Connie was a life=long and faithful member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She loved spending time with family and friends, traveling and helping people in need. Connie was a member of the City Council and served in the Atoka Housing Authority. Connie is survived by her sons, Kyle Edwards and wife Keshia of Ft. Worth, TX, Marcus Muhammad and wife Chiquita of Lewisville, TX; grandchildren, Kyle K. Edwards of Ft. Worth, TX, Kyla Edwards of Ft. Worth, TX, Jalon Muhammad of Lewisville, TX, Amir Muhammad of Lewisville, TX, Nadia Muhammad of Lewisville, TX; sister, Bettye Berry of Ft. Worth, TX; niece, Karla Andrews of Crowley, TX; nephew, Erik Berry of Houston, TX, nephew, Kevin Woodard of Stillwater, OK; niece, Jeanna Woodard of Stillwater, OK; nephew, Jeff Woodard of Durant, OK; along with other nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Claud and Erma Jean (Bell) Woodard; brother, Wendell Woodard; niece, Lyndell Woodard
