Connie Jo Kammerer, age 71, a longtime Atoka, OK resident, was born on Monday, August 29, 1949, to Russell and Betty Jo (Black) Powell, at Perryton, TX. Connie passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Durant, OK. She graduated from Perryton High School in Perryton, TX in 1967. Connie was a housewife and homemaker. She married Barney Kammerer in 2006 at Atoka, OK. They enjoyed 14 years of marriage before her passing. Connie was a member of Blackjack Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, was active in her children's sporting activities and loved to travel.
Connie is survived by her husband, Barney Kammerer of the home in Atoka, OK; sons, Russell Fincher of Atoka, OK, Anthony Fincher of Atoka, OK; stepson, Selby Appleton of Chickasha, OK; grandchildren, Stoney Parker of Lehigh, OK, Tori Parker Woods and husband John of Coalgate, OK, Geryn Appleton of Chickasha, OK; great grandchildren, Charlee Woods of Coalgate, OK, Jayce Woods of Coalgate, OK; brothers, John Powell and wife Anna of Texas, Tyson Powell of Idaho; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Betty Jo (Black) Powell; daughter, Shawna Parker.
